What We Do
How your wedding invitation
​
This is your wedding.
It is very important at the start that you and I decide that we can work together. The initial consultation will give us such an opportunity and can be as short or as long as you feel comfortable with.

The design process starts with me asking you all about your wedding, from the style or theme you want, to colours, flowers, venue(s), wedding dress, groom's outfit, guests, etc, etc. I will discuss with you the materials you would like in your wedding stationery designs and then provide samples for you to choose your favourites.
We will look at the different styles of wording you can have in your invitation and order of service and you can choose the style you would like including the type of lettering.

I take onboard all the facts you have given me about your wedding and the materials you have selected and create a hand-crafted design that can be used for the front of your wedding invitation and any other elements of your wedding stationery you would like to be 3-dimensional.

The next stage is for me to source and/or create the printable artwork for the inside of the invitation ie the fonts, borders and decorations that will match your unique 3-dimensional design.

I am happy to work with you right up to your wedding day to create and produce any stationery that you would like. As your special day looms you may well find you want something extra that we haven't discussed as part of your contract, but that's OK because I will have reserved time for such occasions. As far as I am concerned, my responsibility goes far beyond "just making wedding invitations".
FEES

My initial consultation is £100 - £200 plus travel expenses.

Production costs will be broken down into the following elements:

- redesigning any stationery as a result of a change of the client's mind.

Printing costs

Logically, the larger your order per design, the cheaper pro rata your costs will be. This is because the design element, sourcing of materials and time spent on communicating with you will be the same whether you have ordered a few or a large number.
To give you an example of costs, you can expect to pay £25 to £50 per invitation for an order of fifty, with a hand-crafted front with designed artwork inside, all wrapped and boxed ready for posting.

I have a wide selection of stylised lettering (fonts) for you to choose from. If you would like artwork incorporated into your invitation, this can be either designed by me, or bought in. My graphic design skills will ensure that all information that forms part of the invitation will be laid out professionally and the style can be used for the remainder of your wedding stationery, if so desired.
